Quote-of-the-post: “Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.”
I figured that it would be really unfair if I didn't talk about these super-duper amazing people.Well, who are they? They're my ex-colleagues ;)
Over the 2012 end-of-year holidays, I worked at Underwater World, Sentosa, for Pictureworks. The people there are just freaking friendly and lively. My holidays became one of the most fun-filled one ever, all thanks to them!
I've learnt and got to experience shit lot of stuff, like meeting the many types of customers out there (seeing from the worker's point of view) :
- the really really super freaking nice and courteous ones, which can totally make my day (LOVEYOU)
- normal customers that just smile
- customers that don't smile and ignore you
- and lastly, the super nasty, rude ones that show attitude (all I did was smile at them and they just stared at me as if I stabbed their poor little dog)
Nonetheless, these different types of people made my work days so darn epic.
There was once where a couple was making out throughout the entire Dolphin show which was about 15minutes. Seriously people, seriously? GET A FREAKING ROOM, there are kids nearby! And then there were those who thought that the sea lions were black dolphins. WTF I KNOW. HAHAHA, I told one of my friends and he couldn't stop laughing. During the entire Dolphin show, the trainers have been saying sea lions and fur seals for like a million times and you say they're black dolphins? O_o
Random: One of my colleague told me to read this before we hopped on the cable car on my first day of work:
I couldn't contain my laughter throughout the entire journey in the cable car cabin. I swear, I was completely NOT expecting that, especially in Sentosa, probably Singapore's most popular tourist destination. I assumed the 'do-not do list' would be completely boring and formal, definitely not sarcastic! xD
Alsoooo, I've even gotten the chance to be the mascot (Sharky, the left one)! It was sure as hell interesting, though it's stuffy and hot, but totally worth the experience. You get to do whatever you wanted to do, like kicking a small crying boy, since no one would ever recognise you! (Just kidding, we had rules to abide.. unfortunately)
By the way, the group shot all the way above was taken at Swensen, last Friday, 1st February. It was a farewell dinner for those who were starting school and thus quitting work. Not everyone was present though ;(
If you worked with me, and (weirdly enough) reading this, I would like to.. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY WORK DAYS SO FANTASTIC! :D
That's all folks! xx
