Finally a blog post in June. Hee.

About 2 weeks back, I went out with JingWen and Gen to A Spoonful of Sugar for lunch.

Fruit Verger Tea ($4.50)

Brownie ($5.00)

3 scoops of ice cream + Thick and Fluffy Waffle ($11.90)

Flavours-butter scotch, salty caramel and cookies & cream

On top of these, we ordered two Signature Cold Fry, Crunchy Chocolate and Dead Sea ($5.90 each). I liked the chocolate one more than the Dead Sea, because I don't enjoy salty ice cream. I prefer my ice cream to be sweet. Loved loved the brownie (though JW and Gen felt it was rather sweet). The tea was great, it was recommended to us by the staff there. However, although the waffle was good, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, the ice cream on the other hand was bleh. The butter scotch (or salty caramel I forgot) tasted awfully like plastic. We couldn't eat it at all.

The two female staff were rather patient as we took rather a long while to decide what we wanted to get (especially for the tea). Unfortunately, I didn't know if the girl was being judgmental or just being nice when she informed us we ordered a total 5 scoops of ice cream ("inform" being a very nice term when in actual fact it sounded like she couldn't believe we were eating so much). Maybe I was being a little sensitive, but there are 3 of us and frankly, 5 scoops is rather ok, no? Or maybe it's just me..

Highly doubtful I would be coming back again. :(

Just yesterday, I met up with my JC classmates for lunch. Many could not make it so for the rest of us who could, we decided on LOTS Gourmet since we all lived in the east.

Iced chocolate ($6)

Baked Portugese Chicken ($16)

The LOTS English Breakkie ($14)

I went there once before, and tried out their Gourmet American ($14) and liked it. Can't really go wrong with scrambled eggs and bacon. Their pancakes were alright. I realised I shouldn't be eating food I can cook at home (e.g. scrambled eggs), so I tried out their Baked Chicken. It was pretty interesting and different since I've never tried chicken with Napoli sauce. It turned out pretty good. Had a great time hearing the guys complain about NS and catching up with Priscilla. I haven't seen her since A level results day. ;)

That's all for now peeps. xx

P.S. Some photos I took on the way to LOTS Gourmet.
