As girl guides alumni, we were invited back for the NAS Girl Guides and Scouts campfire which was held on Saturday, 11th April. The previous combined campfire was in 2006, so it's been 9 years since they had this.

Quote-of-the-post: “Every minute you spend with someone gives them a part of your life and takes part of theirs.” ― Ally Condie, Matched
Let me clear this up before you get the wrong idea. NO, I did not participate in Sundown marathon or did any sort of running, whatsoever (I'd probably cry halfway if I did, though I feel like trying it out someday.. ah the masochism in me). Instead, I joined the crew and helped out facilitating the event. My friends and I were stationed near the baggage area, right before the starting line. We were to assist any runners if they needed directions or had any queries. But basically, we didn't do much and bored out of our wits. We even resorted to playing with our raincoats, that were given to us 'cause it drizzled at some point in time, by crushing them into balls and kicking it around like a soccer ball—yeah, that bored. Thankfully my company was a fun bunch so it didn't end up as bad as it should have been.

#nowplaying FAUL & Wad Ad vs Pnau - Changes
Now that I've gotten back all my exam scripts, and pretty much screwed everything up, I've decided that I need to change. But first, let me take a selfie. (ok that was lame but I had to do it HEH) I need to start putting in effort in my work and buck up. So, I've been listening in lectures and tutorials recently. Yay me. Although I didn't listen attentively for all the lectures, but it's a start right? Like they said, one step at a time. Also, I did most of my work. Double yay me. I finally get why people actually do their work. I mean, after I finished my homework, there is this 'sense of accomplishment' which feels pretty amazing. Another plus is that I don't have to rush to finish up my work during recess or any breaks.

MJC OPEN HOUSE 2014 (15 JAN)
After about one and a half week of practice till 9+ in the night, the day had finally arrived and passed. I had so much to complain about then and now, I have so much to thank for. I didn't want to join the open house mass dance at all, but due to certain reasons (I'm not going to say them here), I joined. I was practically complaining to everyone I know how every training ends so late and I felt extremely irritable. I was tired, shag and I just couldn't wait for it to be over. But now when I look back, it was a hell of a crazy ride, and yet somehow, I wouldn't have it any other way. Our performance turned out to be great, and I had fun dancing. And especially the group cheer right after our performance, it was amazing.
we didn't win the overall champion, but we're hella CHARISMATIC bunch of people.
So, thank you everyone for making MJC Open House such a memorable one.

Disclaimer: This is going to be a really random post with random crap.
I came across something funny and I have to share it with you guys. I took a screenshot, but you can view the original here. Sometimes, you can find really hilarious crap at Yahoo! answers.
Note: You have to read everything from top to bottom to get the 'full effect'.
DID YOU LAUGH? CAUSE I DID. IF YOU DIDN'T, you lack a sense of humour. Seriously. Time for you to go get one. BYE SEE YOU SOON. (okay kidding, maybe it's just me who finds it funny.. T_T)
By the way, I keep staining my uniforms. Skirt, blouse, PE shirt, you name it you have it. I don't even know what caused those stains.. Food? Or something that I sat on? I have no idea. It's gross and seriously frustrating yet baffling. I'm really curious to find out what those stains are, but then again, curiosity killed the cat, so I'm just leaving them alone (yeah, they can't be washed out. urgh). I'm also not looking forward to losing my appetite when I find out what those stains are.
Last but definitely not the freaking least, I'm struggling with my Project Work EoM (Evaluation of Materials). I can't find any points to evaluate! PW is way harder than I thought it would be. Boohoo.
Thanks for putting up with me and my randomness. :) xx

I had a very very busy week. It was hectic, exhausting, exciting and of course, eventful.
4D3N Leadership Training Camp (7 to 10 June)
As usual, I was NOT looking forward to it. I hate camps, if you didn't know. I whined non-stop, sorry friends of mine for having to constantly listen to my annoying complaints. And AS USUAL, it turns out to be fine, better than fine actually. I've learnt a whole bunch of shit I never knew and I can safely say that this camp was like no other.
We had a hell lot of debriefs a.k.a reflection time, maybe a little too much. They were really useful, although if all of us were really honest it'll be far more constructive. The activities planned for us were really to make us think of our values we had chosen earlier to live by throughout the camp and also realise how easily we can forgo our values in order to succeed in the games. It's pretty scary, considering they're just games we're playing and imagine what we will forsake in real life situations.
The most memorable part of the camp (I'm pretty sure almost everyone would agree with me) was the Physical Training (PT for short). The camp facilitators said that it wasn't planned at all but because it was raining so they couldn't conduct the Running Man activity, and they felt it was required, that they decided to have the PT. We had to do squats, push-ups, 'Buddha clapping', crutches and planking. I was like, "so this is how NS feels like." LOL, I just had to say that. I mean we had to count out loud, if the facilitators are not satisfied we had to recount from the beginning. Also, we had to be quick when we're changing our positions for the next set. So yeah, everyone was perspiring horribly and completely worn out. The floor was wet with our sweat. Therefore, it was really an experience. It was a good wake up call for all of us, because we lacked discipline and a sense of urgency.
Lastly, something new for me, WE HAD CLUBBING. After campfire, they blasted music and switched off the lights in the hall and we just PARTIED LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW. Hahah, thinking back, it's rather funny now we were all jumping and screaming the lyrics of the songs.
Alright time to end the talking! PHOTO TIME! We're such little camwhores.
(Photos aren't taken by me! Just saying. And most of them are taken with phone cameras so they're slightly blurry)

Well, this is annoying. On my screen, the background of my blog is grey with a pinch of purple-pink. However, on my brother's screen, it's wayyyy more pink-ish. SO, I have no idea how it looks like for you guys. I guess the problem lies with my screen since my bro's monitor is pretty new, while mine's pretty old. :( So if the colour of my photographs look weird, don't be surprised, because I edit them using my computer. SIGH.
Alright, I know they're all a little while ago. Pardon my lateness. :b

April-May birthdays celebration!
Yes, we can take photos anywhere, everywhere.
Our relief Physics teacher is leaving us ;( BUT, he might be coming back, so let's hope! Hehe.
You can see Adrian's attempt in "photobomb-ing" but failed thanks to Terry's oh-so-amazing cropping skills, leaving only Mr Lim, Amanda and I in the photo. HAHA.
Had dinner with a few of my classmates on a Friday night!
Finally met up with R2'12. :')
