I'm really supposed to be studying for my test tomorrow and doing my homework, but argh whatever, I'm just gonna blog first. ;)

Alright, a day out with these fabulous people, Ethel, Cassandra and Colin, yesterday for Othello.
Met Ethel first as both of us were early, and of course, we had to snap photos!

After Cassandra and Colin arrived, we headed to The Fabulous Baker Boy. We got lost on the way because we just followed our phones' GPS, but eventually, we managed to find the shop :)

Yes, we look like pigs, grabbing all the cakes they had then. We asked the waitress, "Can we have a slice of all the cakes?" And she gave us THAT LOOK, the look of judging. HAHA, but we didn't care. Unfortunately there were several unavailable so we didn't have the chance to try them out!
Here's what we ate:
I tried their Fab Ice Tea, which was a house blend of several tea, I guess. It isn't sweet, but it's a great companion for having cakes. As usual,  I couldn't tell what's in the tea, but that's Ethel's job. HAHA. She's fantastic at guessing ingredients and stuff like that, unlike the talentless me ;(

Sadly, they didn't do any latte art for us because they were getting busy at that point of time. SIGH. We were so looking forward to it. Also, two of our cakes weren't upright, which was sad. But I guess it's pretty difficult for them to keep them standing because they're rather soft!

Okay, on to the cake reviews! I'll start with the bad ones, the carrot cake and Caribbean lemon cake. All of us were extremely disappointed with the carrot cake, and the lemon cake was just too strong (especially at the middle portion). The green tea cake was nice initially, but the more you eat, the cream gets scary. Honestly, I forgot how the apple cider cake tastes like but I know it's was rather okay. The velvet cake was great. Nutty Monkey is super duper tasty, thanks to the peanut butter, which I love a lot. But it might be too much if you're eating it all by yourself. Lastly, we have the raspberry lemon slice which was our favourite, albeit we couldn't taste any raspberry.

(PS. I'm sorry but I'm no food reviewer, so I can't exactly pinpoint any good/bad parts of the cakes.)

The ambience of the cafe was rather good, BUT there's mosquitoes, the downside of being near nature. You can actually make reservations on Fridays and Saturdays! You should if you are intending to go, because it's rather crowded and there aren't many seats there.

Nextly, we have Othello. It was.. bad. Well, for me at least. I didn't catch most of the play because I HATE SHAKESPEARE'S LANGUAGE. wherefore art thou.. For goodness sake. :( I suck at literature, and I didn't know the storyline so I couldn't enjoy the play. But, I'll have to say that the actors were good. Not the best, but still great.

That's all for today! BYEE.
