Day 1

After a really long flight, I was feeling tired and all I wanted to do was take a nap once we checked in our hotel. However, my parents, Ethel and her mum clearly weren't on the same page as I was so I didn't get my sleep. We roamed the streets of San Francisco, familiarising ourselves with this city. Ethel and I snapped photos with our cameras along the way.

While window shopping, a girl called out to me and said my camera was cute. Her hair was really cool (braided) and I really wanted to tell her that. However, completely dumbfounded, I only managed to reply her with a simple thank you before she walked away. It came as a shock to me because it rarely happens here in Singapore and just in the first day in San Fran, a stranger drops a compliment. It felt great. I think I will do that sometime too.

We ended the day pretty early 'cause I was exhausted.

Oh yeah, a guy dressed in Santa said to Ethel and I, "hey baby girls, merry christmas." It was really cute.
