7/02/2020 10:35:00 pmWow, ok, a lot has changed. Not just life in general (hi 2020) but even Blogger's UI. Honestly, I don't even have a clue why I'm back here.
I've been a working adult for over 6 months, in fact, it's close to 8 months in about one to two weeks. The last information y'all got from me in this blog was that I was given an offer for a job, which I accepted. And here we are, 7.5 months later. It's been.. interesting to say the least. I mean COVID-19 kinda made it crazier and let's not talk about 2020 as a whole.
I'm enjoying the work-from-home concept — a lot. I wished I could say I picked up a new skill or exercised, but nope. I didn't even use my camera once. But it's just great not needing to squeeze on packed public transport during peak hours or having to wake up early to prepare to go out. Plus, I feel like I'm more productive working from home because there's fewer distractions. I don't get interrupted midway to answer a colleague's question, etc. Of course, there's the cons: Meetings are better face to face because you get to see everyone's expressions (most of my meetings are not video calls) and it's somehow easier to speak out (maybe because you don't have to unmute yourself to speak). There's a whole bunch of other reasons but this ain't an article about that. But the main reason is because.. I'm a homebody. Haha. That's it. The rest were just excuses. ;)
My colleagues are great. There's a group of us who are all in our 20s so it's pretty cool. Although we have quite different personalities but somehow we can all click with one another. Our job scope is almost like social work, but we play more of a middle man role, so it has been fulfilling. We get to meet people from all walks of life, which is definitely an eye-opening experience.
I have no idea where I'm going with this so I'm just going to end here. Hopefully the next post will be back to photos, I know I still owe a lot from my old travel series. No promises tho.
What I think is really interesting about life is how we are often so oblivious to the impressions we make on the people around us. [...] I find it fascinating that the things we say and do are sometimes internalized by the people around us in a lasting way, completely unbeknownst to us.

Ok, I know the link above is invalid. The guy must have deleted his website. Tried to google this quote but didn't get any results so, meh. (I actually have a draft post with a whole collection of blog post titles and random quotes I found over the internet to use for future posts, and this was one of them.)
